HYPNOTHERAPY
What is Hypnosis? Hypnosis is a very calming and relaxing experience. It is a state of restful alertness. In this state the subconscious is open and receptive to accept suggestions. People usually feel very energized and refreshed after a hypnosis session. It is very calming that they usually don’t want to come out of hypnosis.
What is Hypnotherapy? Hypnotherapy is the use of hypnosis for self-improvement and/or healing. Through Hypnosis you can achieve utmost relaxation and start making changes in your attitude and behaviors.
How does it work? Our mind has two parts, the conscious and the subconscious. Everything that we’ve ever experienced, seen, heard, smelled, tasted, felt are all stored in our subconscious mind. Our subconscious mind is also responsible for storing our belief system. Anything that we have learned and perceived in life is stored in our subconscious mind. Some of our belief system is faulty and needs to be corrected. In order to start making changes we need to access our subconscious mind.
Our subconscious mind holds a picture of every emotion. During hypnosis, the hypnotherapist helps the person to reach his/her subconscious mind by entering into a deeply relaxed state.
Through Hypnotherapy we are able to clear unwanted emotions/patterns such as anxiety, fear, anger, phobias, traumas and personality disorders that prevent us from being our best and achieving our goals.
Every pain and disorder in our body and mind is a signal to tell us that something needs attention in our life, and often times we ignore these signals hoping that they could go away. A Hypnotherapist can help you find the root cause behind your pain or problem and help you through creative imagery and hypnotherapy to overcome your problem and help you to heal.
Hypnosis is a natural State of Mind: People go into hypnotic state all the time. For example, musicians and artists can become so engrossed in their work that they lose track of time. Readers often become totally immersed in the pages of a good novel. Drivers pass their exits on the freeway while daydreaming. These day-to-day experiences are similar to the hypnotic state.
What is Guided Imagery? Guided Imagery is a technique of using our powers of imagination to create an image of something we wish to manifest in our life. It is a flow of thoughts we can see, hear, feel, smell, or taste. An image is an inner representation of our experience. It is how our mind codes, stores, and expresses information. It is the language of the emotions and the deeper self.
Imagery is a window to our inner world, a way of viewing our ideas, feelings and interpretations. It is a means of transformation and liberation from unconscious distortions that may be directing our life and shaping our health.
Imagery is a natural language of a major part of our nervous system. Through imagery, we can learn to relax and be more comfortable in any situation, whether we are ill or well. We may be able to reduce, modify, or eliminate pain or other symptoms.
What is Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)? EFT is an emotional healing technique (trauma, phobias, grief, anger, guilt, anxiety, etc.), which helps in relieving many physical symptoms such as pain, headaches, asthma and more. EFT employs tapping with fingertips on various body locations. This tapping serves to balance energy meridians, which become disrupted when you think about or become involved in an emotionally disturbing circumstance. Once balanced, you cannot get upset about the circumstances no matter how hard you try. The actual memory stays but the charge is gone.
What is NLP? NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) is the study of modeling human excellence, a model of how people structure their experience; the structure of subjective experience; how humans become programmed in their thinking and behaving in their very neurology by the various languages they use to process, code and retrieve information.
NLP allows us to improve our quality of life by modeling human excellence by finding, identifying, eliciting and designing various patterns or programs that work within the mind-body nature of our experience.
Time Line Therapy: Time Line Therapy is technique for letting go of negative emotions, limiting beliefs and limiting decisions for the purpose of allowing you to create a positive outcome. Past negative emotions and limiting decisions are eliminated so that you are left with positive emotions and empowering decisions.
What to Expect: Your first hypnosis session will last from 60 to 90 minutes. At this session, you and the therapist may concentrate on refining your ability to use your hypnotic capability. Subsequent sessions will probably last 60 minutes or less. The time it takes to go into trance and the number of sessions needed vary for each individual.
Goal of Hypnotherapist: The goal of the hypnotherapist is for the individual to gain control – over behavior, emotions, or physiological processes. |
